Yuzu
Skin in Syrup

Yuzu Skin in Syrup (1kg)

Yuzu skin in syrup is made with yuzu peel, sugar, yuzu juice, and no additives, or preservatives. The peels which taste like a combination of tangerine, grapefruit, Meyer lemon and lime are perfectly tender but not mushy with a pleasant tang and no sour or bitter notes. They are made by thoroughly soaking the peels in a sugar beet and 100% yuzu juice syrup.

Use them in baked goods, cocktails, on cheese plates, or to make purees, jams or marmalades.

Kagura no Sato is located in Shiroma, a small village surrounded by mountains in Miyazaki Prefecture. They have been growing yuzu for 50 years, mostly organically and they harvest only at the peak of ripeness. Because their orchards are at a high altitude, the fruit has a stronger aroma, higher acidity, and sugar content than yuzu grown at lower altitudes.
